Genuine Products, Limited (GPL) began investing in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector in early 2002, by equipping its own offices with state-of-the art equipment and accessories. Subsequently, an ultra-modern café business support services center was set up and opened to the public in Denu (Volta Region) on January 2, 2004. It is the only internet café in a radius of 60 km “Ghana-wards”.
Following an invitation from the Anloga Secondary School, GPL set up and is currently managing the schools’ computer laboratory. Plans are underway to set up similar facilities in other schools in Ghana's Volta Region.
In early July 2004, GPL opened its first computer training school in Denu.
At GPL's Accra office, it was realized that the 24 hour internet connectivity was underutilized, hence the outer office was refitted to have browsing units and the office was commercialized to provide other business support services.
